A-10 Tank Killer is a flight simulator challenge. In which, the vehicle that the player will use is the A-10 Thunderbolt II (made by the Fairchild Republic for the US Air Force). The game was released by Dynamix. The first platform to experience was MS-DOS (in 1989). A year later, a version dedicated to the Amiga platform was available.
With the simulation challenge, the game will give players many different perspectives to enjoy. For example, the first view (from the pilot’s position in the cockpit) or the views from outside the plane like the third view from the right, the left of the plane. In the game, players have the opportunity to become a real fighter pilot in many interesting missions. Moreover, this game possesses a relatively simple system. Except for the cockpit interface with visual details quite like reality, the scenes or visual details below the ground are rudimentary and difficult to see.
In A-10 Tank Killer, players will participate in many different battle mission systems. In which, the main battle context is the European battlefield (built according to a fictional scenario of World War). The game will bring two main game modes as Fly One Mission and Campaign Mission. Discover Campaign Mission, you will have to fight in many different stages. Each will give different requirements. In addition, players can only participate in new missions when they complete the previous tasks. In case you have not fulfilled the requirements, you have to play again and have a better focus.
In Fly One Mission, players can choose a certain mission to experience from the available system (Training, The City, Wing Man, SAM Slam …). After selecting the task, the game also provides three folders for players to customize the mission’s difficulty. They include Threat Level (the dangers present during the mission), Ammunition (allows to customize the number of weapons to carry, limited or not limited), and Damage (allows to customize power strong fighting). Completing the customization, the player will have a tactical map to capture the targets to destroy or protect.
