The Adventures of Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian is a puzzle and role-playing game. This game was available in 1992 on three separate platforms (Amiga, MS-DOS, and Atari ST). In addition, it was developed and published by Game Crafters.
The main character is Maddog Williams, an ordinary salesman. He owns an antique shop and has to fight an evil witch, Serik. Williams’s fight begins when he has a meeting with the princess and helps her escape from Serik. Therefore, the witch tries to pursue and attacks Williams in revenge.
In The Adventures of Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian, the player will control Maddog Williams, and you have to help him escape from the witch. The challenge system is in variety and doesn’t require to complete with a certain sequence. With role-playing elements, players will have to move to different areas to perform the required tasks and gather information relates to helping you defeat Serik.
Besides moving, on the screen appears different texts, and each will hide a specific hint for players to complete the task. They will not be clear, and players have to analyze carefully (based on the information received and the places you have traveled) to find the answer. Besides analyzing information from the displayed text on the screen, the game also offers many NPCs for players to talk. Exchanging information with NPCs will also help you gain new information and complete challenges more quickly. In addition, the game also provides certain combat missions to participate. With combat missions, players have to have agile control to defeat the enemy. To fight enemies, players will have to collect available items. Then, you can use them directly or in combination with another item to create new items.
Regarding the visual system, the game has a 2.5D environment, helping players to enjoy many movements. The game’s color system is used and coordinated relatively simple, it does not bring many outstanding contexts.
