Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is an exciting adventure game, which was developed by Sonic Team. It was officially available by Sega in 2003 for the Game Cube platform in four regions, including: North America (on September 23), Japan (on October 9), Europe (on October 31 10) and Australia. Besides the Cube platform, on May 31, 2006, the game was converted to two new platforms to provide specifically to the European market, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
The game content
Basically, the main character is Billy Hatcher, and he had to protect the Morning Land Kingdom from the evil crows who Dark Raven lead. In which, the Morning Land is a beautiful and peaceful land, which is controlled by chickens. However, one day, the Dark Raven summoned a crows team and attacked this land. His goal was to control the Morning Land to invade the human world. Summoned to Moring Land (after rescuing a chicken chased by a raven), Billy received a warned of Dark Raven’s plans, and he had to rescue Morning Land to save the world. To do this, Billy had Legendary Chicken Suit and proceeded to rescue six Chicken Elders who were imprisoned in golden eggs.
In Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, the players complete the game with seven stages. Each of them has many tasks with specific requirements. At that time, you have to complete the tasks which are required to advance and to conquer new stages. There are eight tasks at one stage. In which, five missions are available to perform and the remaining three will be unlocked after rescuing Billy’s friends (Bantam, Rolly and Chick).
At each stage, the players can control the character from a third perspective and perform tasks in 3D. The players will move between different areas to complete the game’s tasks. Besides, they have to focus on searching and collecting more Emblems of Courage.
About the graphics, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg has a good visual design. The character has a lovely style and the motion effects that make interesting in the game . However, the lighting system has not been balanced. So it is difficult for the players to observe the surroundings.
