Bionicle (also known as Bionicle: The Game) is a great game, which has adventure and combat elements. This game bases on Bionicle: Mask of Light, an animated film from the producer LEGO. After that, two game makers, Argonaut Sheffield and Argonaut Games, have developed it. During the game’s release, Electronic Arts and Lego Interactive were responsible for publishing the game to the market in 2003. At the moment, it is available on many  platforms like Xbox, Game Cube, PlayStation 2, and Microsoft Windows. Also, Bionicle is available in many other platforms such as Game Boy Advance (provided by THQ) and OS X (made by Feral Interactive in 2005).

Basically, the plot has not much differences from the original movie, Bionicle: Mask of Light. However, some of the episodes in the movie were removed in the game. In the content, the game begins with the fight between Mata Nui and Bohrok. After that, it ends with a battle with Lord of Shadows – Makuta.

In Bionicle: The Game, the players will participate in different adventures in stages. Each of them will have challenges and characters to explore. Besides, the players will control the characters through the third perspective and defeat many required enemies. In addition to the dangers and having smart strategies to overcome them, the players will fight with boss battles. Specially, the players have to defeat the bosses in certain stages to discover new stages.

Besides the battle system, Bionicle has melee missions, allowing players to use weapons (swords, axes …) to defeat the enemy. In addition, each of them has the power of each different elements, such as air, earth, water, fire, rocks and ice. Thus, the players can attack enemies with conventional combat or special combat skills, by activating the power of the elements inside the weapon. Also, the developer offers many challenges and obstacles to overcome. In which, the players have to have many clever moves to overcome traps or complex terrains to reach the required location safely.

Bionicle has many good reviews on image quality. 3D graphics are carefully designed with the high resolution. The visual structures are sharp, and the color system is coordinated harmoniously with many different environments in the game.
