Burnout 2: Point of Impact is the second version of the Burnout series. It was available on the Nintendo GameCube. After the success of Burnout (2001), Criterion Games develops the next version with upgrades to the visual system and modes. Acclaim Entertainment published this game in April 2003. Besides the GameCube version, the manufacturer also made the game for PS 2 (in September 2002) and Xbox (in May 2003).

The game mode

Similar to many games with driving challenges, Burnout 2: Point of Impact has many different modes with unique challenges for players to relax. Championship is the most complex mode. It has three mini tournaments and held in different locations. In this mode, the players have to participate in three tournaments: Airport Terminal 3, 88 Interchange and Palm Bay Height. Besides, each race in the tournament will conduct with many different laps (from one to five laps). It will have a limited time to complete.

How to play

Besides competing under the familiar league, Burnout 2: Point of Impact also offers two other gameplay with many attractive features. The first game is called Crash. The players don’t compete with competitors in races. Instead, they will come to fixed locations within the city and cause traffic accidents to receive a bonus. To do that, the players have to move at high speed. They crash into another vehicle or slide down the road to collide with many vehicles at the same time. When an accident completes successfully, the game calculates the damage which the player created. Then, the players will receive bonuses corresponding to the accident. The next interesting game is Pursuit. The players have the opportunity to be a street hero or police. The player’s task is to chase the cars which criminals control. Specially, If you arrest criminals successfully,  you will collect their vehicle to use.

The visual

In conclusion, when Burnout 2: Point of Impact released worldwide, many users rated it to have a good image quality. The scenery in the game has an authentic design, the image details built sharp and beautiful.
