Super Mario Bros. 3 is the third version of the Super Mario Bros series. This game was available on October 23, 1988 in Japan. Two years later, on February 12, 1990, the game was released in North America. Similar to the previous two parts, players will participate in the mission to rescue the princess and go through different worlds to end the game. In addition, this version has some new features compared to its previous, which owns a world map and change levels. Along with familiar villains like Bowser, this version also brings the Koopalings (Bowser’s seven children).
About the plot, Super Mario Bros. 3 begins with the Koopalings who invaded the Mushroom Kingdom and stole the magic wand from the King. Next, Princess Toadstool had to ask the two heroes’s help, Mario and Luigi to defeat the Koopalings (each Koopalings control a kingdom). After rescuing the seventh kingdom, Mario and Luigi suddenly received a letter from Bowser. It announced that Princess Toadstool had been captured in Dark Land. Therefore, the two main characters had to move to Dark Land to defeat Bowser and rescue the beautiful princess.
In the game, you will control Luigi or Mario, there are 8 worlds to conquer, and at the end of each is a tycoon to fight. The task is to move cleverly to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies. In addition, each world will have a level system and battle environment. For example, the second world will take players to a desert environment with beautiful pyramids. The destruction remains the same as in the previous versions, the simplest way to defeat enemies is to jump into the air to step on their heads. Next, you can destroy the bricks to collect Projectile flowers. It allows you to fire fireballs and kill the enemies before they can reach you. The quest is still limited for a certain time. To move forward, you have to quickly move to the required position at the end of the level within the allowed time. In particular, this game has a design with a multiplayer feature. In which, the first will control Mario, and Luigi is controlled by the second player (can distinguish the two characters through the costume’s color).
