The game was also followed in other regions such as North America – June 26, 2006, Europe – June 23, 2006 and Australia – November 17, 2006. CyberConnect2 focuses on developing the game while Namco Bandai Games releases. In addition to the basic platform PS 2, this game and the subsequent versions were available by the manufacturer for many different platforms (Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3).

In this game, players can use many different characters to join the fight. Each will have their special fighting skills (similar to the manga). With the antagonistic element, the player’s goal is to defeat the competition within a limited time. A basic battle will take place in 99 seconds, and you have many skillful control manipulations to take down the opponent. Like many fighting games, before activating special combat skills, players have to accumulate enough required energy (Charka). A Charka energy meter will be displayed just below the character’s vitality bar to monitor. Some special skills will be present is Naruto Uzumaki’s Rasengan, Sasuke Uchiha’s Chidori, or Kakashi Hatake’s Raikiri.

In addition, the special feature is that special skills will not be played with the actual context. Instead, each special skill uses a short video to enjoy. However, some of them can’t at the early stages. Meanwhile, players have to complete the challenges in the plot or mission to unlock them.

Game modes

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja has four main game modes. The first mode is the Scenario, which brings story-based combat missions, and each will provide different characters to use. Misson is the section that gives specific tasks for players to perform. Each completed mission will give players a bonus. The practice has the aim to help players become familiar with the battle tactics specific to each character. The final mode is the Free Battle, which allows players to randomly select an available character to use. In addition, this game mode has two challenges, including fighting with COM or competing with another player.

The manufacturer has prepared for the game a beautiful 3D graphics system. The characters are designed according to familiar drawings of the manga to bring attractive images. Besides, many effects are careful and various. With the fast-paced fighting speed, the game’s frame rate is rated to work well.
