Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly which offers fun adventure, is an attractive version of the Spyro series. This game was designed in collaboration with Equinoxe Digital Entertainment and Check Six Studios. Later, it was available by Universal Interactive for two platforms, GameCube and PlayStation 2. In addition, the manufacturer also plans to release games for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. However, this project was canceled, due to negative feedback from critics. The game was available in 2002. For North America, the PS 2 version was released on November 5 and the GameCube version was November 19. In Europe, the game was available on GameCube and PS 2 at the same time, November 29.
In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, a grave ceremony was held to congratulate the young dragons for their growth, and the annual Grand Dragon parade was held at the same time. Besides, the ceremony also had the appearance of newborn dragons and their guardians, the Dragonfly. When the party was going on happily, the villain was Ripto, along with his two minions suddenly appeared (thanks to the teleportation gate). The purpose of Ripto, Gulp, and Crush is to kidnap Dragonflys so that the new dragons are not protected and underdeveloped. However, Ripto’s power lacked stability, and he can’t arrest them. In addition, he also made them pushed to many different areas of the Dragon Realm. From there, Spyro had the task of finding the Dragonfly and defeating Ripto.
The adventure challenges are not as many differences as the previous. The missions still take place in 3D, and players will have to move to different areas to collect the Dragonfly. In addition, collecting the Dragonfly will make a new skill, Spyro will blow out bubbles to retain them. Besides, players can also possess some other skills, after accomplishing the goal and meeting an ancient dragon statue. In addition, players also have the task of collecting diamonds in the way to increase bonus points or destroy the designated target. Diamonds can display on the ground or they will be hidden inside objects. Meanwhile, players destroy them to pick up the diamonds. In addition, the target to destroy will appear in many different positions, and the player has to shoot fireballs from the first perspective.
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly has beautiful 3D graphics and the main character (Spyro) is attractive. However, the other characters of the game are not designed to be stable, and some movements are quite boring.
