Ben 10: Protector of Earth is the first version of the Ben 10 series which was released on PSP. This version was available in 2007 in three regions, including Australasia, North America, and Europe. The game’s plot has five different chapters, and each will bring different contexts. Besides, it also brings a boss to players to fight.
In the first chapter, Ben’s Omnitrix suddenly had a problem, and he couldn’t transform. In his aliens, only Four Arms and Heatblast could use. The cause was derived from the Vilgax Drone, which collected alien’s DNA from Omnitrix while Ben was sleeping. Therefore, Ben had to fight with the drones to retrieve the stolen DNA.
Next, Ben had to go to Area 51 to fight Enoch to finish the first chapter. The second chapter’s context took place in San Francisco, Kevin 11 found the escape from the Null Void. He also brought some strange plant creatures back to Earth. Later, Kevin 11 was defeated again and pushed back into the Null Void. Not stopping here, Ben had to go to Seattle to solve the strange plants that Kevin brought to Earth (it has grown and invaded the whole city). Defeating this creature, Ben found an Omnitrix Crystal and allowed him to gather the plant’s DNA. From there, Ben acquired a new alien, and it was Wildvine. The bosses to beat in the third chapter are Vilgax and Zs’Skayr. They were working together to take Ben’s Omnitrix. After that, a final battle took place at the Gold Coast Theater, and Zs’Skayr was sent back to the Null Void.
In the fourth chapter (after defeating Zs’Skayr), Animo kidnapped Gwen. Therefore, Ben and Grandpa Max had to chase Animo to rescue Gwen. After being rescued, Gwen informed Ben of Vilgax’s plan. He was trying to build a space portal to suck Earth into the Null Void. Finally, the fifth chapter is in Washington DC and Ben has to defeat Vilgax to close the portal that he opens.
With five chapters and different scenarios, Ben 10: Protector of Earth will bring many intense battle stages for players to experience. The early stages only allow using of certain aliens for a limited time. However, the following stages allow Ben to use up to five aliens. In particular, Ben can quickly switch between aliens without reducing Omnitrix’s energy.
