Tekken 6 is the sixth version of the fighting game series of the same name which was developed by Bandai Namco Games. This game was available for PlayStation Portable on November 24, 2009, for the North American market. Europe and Australasia were in December 2009. In addition, until January 14, 2010, a version for the Japanese launched.
The Tekken 6’s content follows the Jin Kazama’s events as defeating Jinpachi Mishima and becoming the new leader of Mishima Zaibatsu. However, he uses Mishima Zaibatsu’s financial resources to wage a war with many different nations. Jin put the world in turmoil and Kazuya Mishima (Jin’s father and the new leader of G Corporation) hung a reward for his son’s head.
Afterward, Jin announced the organization a new tournament, King of Iron Fist 6, to force his father to appear and fight him. Some people of the Tekken Force do not agree with the proceeding. In which, Lars Alexandersson is the most violent protester. He launches a rebellion against Jin. After the uprising, Lars and Alisa Bosconovitch (an android) try to escape from the hunt for Mishima Zaibatsu. During the escape, Lars discovers a shocking truth. He is a bastard son, Heihachi Mishima, and the uncle, Jin Kazama. After finding himself, Lars starts a new battle with both G Corporation and Mishima Zaibatsu.
Gameplay and game modes
This game has five different game modes as Story Battle, Ghost Battle, Challenge Battle, Network, and Practice. In which, Story Battle, Challenge Battle, and Ghost Battle are three basic modes. They have battle challenges in a fixed order. You will fight with many different enemies in each battle. The player’s goal is still to win the second half of a match to go forward.
To support the three modes, Practice allows players to freely use many different characters and familiarize themselves with special fighting techniques. This helps players improve their personal techniques and know-how to capture the enemy’s movement. Finally, the Network will bring multiplayer battles. With this game, your PSP will be connected to other players’ PSPs to compete online.
