As you know, real-time strategy challenges are better on the Microsoft Windows platform. However, there are also some strategy games on the Console Game. In which, Conflict Zone is a prominent name because it was available on the Dreamcast platform at the time Sega was gradually giving up the development of Console devices. Besides, the special feature is that it was first released on Microsoft Windows. It was later offered for PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast. This game was designed by the MASA Group and released by Ubisoft. For North American, it was available on October 31, 2001, for Microsoft Windows, on December 15, 2001, for Dreamcast, and on October 19, 2002, for PlayStation 2. In addition, the rest of the regions of the world can experience this game on Dreamcast on April 12, 2002, and PS 2 on August 16, 2002.

In the plot, the Conflict Zone takes place in the 21st century, where the conflicts in the world are fought by high technology wars. They are more intense than the wars from the previous centuries. At this time, the world’s political system is being divided into two factions, the International Peacekeeping Force (ICP) and the GHOST. In which, ICP has the purpose of maintaining peace and ensuring stable economic development. In opposition to ICP, GHOST has a tougher mindset. Its members want to use economics to dominate the world and control weaker nations. To do that, they will fund and create conflicts on many different scales around the world. Thus, opposing positions have caused the two organizations to confront each other regularly and lead to fierce battles.

In this game, players will experience two different modes, single-player and multiplayer. At the individual play, the game will design two separate sections including Campain and Quick Play. With Campain, you will enjoy the mission system of both ICP (bringing peace) and GHOST (creating chaos). Quick Play is a simpler game to engage in battles on a random map with the task of destroying competitors. Similar to many other real-time strategy games, each will take place through various stages such as resource exploitation, base construction, the formation of combat units and attack the enemy.

The visual system does not receive good reviews. The graphics are quite bland, and the images are not sharp. Besides, it also has problems with frame rates, making players feel depressed.
