Gunbird 2 is an interesting shooting game from the developer Psikyo. It was available for Arcade Game platform in Japan, in December 1998. After that, this game was franchised, and Capcom provided for Sega Dreamcast platform worldwide in 2000. Especially, in 2014 and 2016, this game was developed on the Android and iOS operating systems.
The content of Gunbird 2 is shooting challenges. In the game, players have to overcome many different levels. They have to join the battle with bosses, in which gamers have to try the best to win the game. Besides, players will be able to enjoy the game with a top-down perspective. In which, they can move in four different directions (up, down, right or left). Also, Gunbird 2 offers six characters for players to choose from. Each of them will own a different fighting style and skills. You can upgrade their skills by collecting items. However, the upgraded items will fall from the killed enemies. So, you have to observe carefully to collect them all.
How to play
With shooting elements, players will face to multiple enemies at once. They will appear on the screen from many different directions. Meanwhile, you have to move skillfully to destroy the enemy and avoid touching them. In case the player was hit by a bullet or collides with an enemy, they would be removed from the screen. Of course, you will lose a life. There are seven stages in the fighting system and takes place in two rounds. At the first round, enemies will move and attack players at a normal pace. However, the second is at a faster pace, the enemy can move quickly and attack the player with a dense fire. Besides, the first three stages allow players to randomly select a stage to fight. From the fourth stage, you have to fight in a prepared manner.
Regarding the game mode, Gunbird 2 offers two different parts, including individual and a group (two players). In individual competitions, players have good reflexes to defeat all enemies present on the screen. As for Co-op, the two players have to work well together and divide the upgrade items appropriately.
Besides, Dreamcast’s visual system is bright colors. Also, 2D graphics and many visual structures are good enough to satisfy any gamers.
