Released in April 1994, Eye of the Beholder is one of the most popular RPG on the game platform SNES. It was designed by the developer Westwood Associates and published by the publisher Capcom.
The game content
The content of the game takes place in medieval times with brave knights and wicked wizards. The story started in the city of Waterdeep. In which the lord has hired an expedition to investigate a mysterious crime that was living in the underground. From there, the explorers went down below the city through the sewers. However, the entrance of the expedition team collapsed and forced them to go deep underground. Also, the incident was caused by Xanathar (designed according to Beholder). When they went deeper, the expedition met the Drow and the Dwarf. Going through the areas managed by these two tribes, they will reach the cave of Xanathar. Here, the expedition will have to fight this dangerous monster to complete the mission.
Coming to Eye of the Beholder, players will become the leader of the expedition. You will be able to control many characters at the same time to conquer the challenges under Waterdeep. Your group starts with 4 members, each of which will have their own strengths and weaknesses. Besides, the player will control the characters with the first view angle in a 3D space. Also, the battle challenges that you join have only one requirement is to destroy the dangers along the way. Similar to the challenges of fighting in dungeons, gamers must destroy monsters and collect items to equip the character. At this point, collecting items is very important. It increases the power of each character. From there, your team has many chances to win strong opponents. In addition to collecting items to equip the character, players also have to search for some special things to open the gates. The regular gates will have the mechanisms on the side to open.
Along with the use of 4 available characters at the start of the game, players can also recruit new ones. On the way, you may encounter some NPC, which are available for you to recruit. Some of them are dead and some are alive. In the case of dead NPCs, they will become a skeleton and lie along the way. At that time, you only need to revive them to use.
