The Mask is a 1995 side-scrolling action video game created by American studio Black Pearl Software for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System which is based on the film of the same name.
This game is a fun game to play with all of the movie’s zany antics packed in here. You’re sure to be hooked on this game for hours of entertainment. When you first start this game, you will get the hang of the controls in minutes. And, by the end of the first level, it will all feel like second nature to you. You could be stunned at how well this game was made the first time, being skeptical because most movies/made games generally aren’t perfect.
This is definitely not the case with this game. It also is easily one of the best platformers on the Super Nintendo. Still, it is an unknown game, which is a pretty sad thing. This is because of Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country’s platforming experience that this game offers rivals. The game has some minor flaws, the main one being some of the jumps have minimal landing areas. And it can get quite tedious if you keep missing it over and over again, but overall this is a very excellent game
Control and gameplay are both definitely 10s. The game plays like and dream and controls like a dream too. Never once will you ever get tired of playing this game, with all of the moves you can do in this game. All of the enemies to beat you will love jumping the mask around all of the different environments. It is familiar in some of the stages of the movie.
